What Is A Minor Code ?
Minor code or artikel code is used within barcode labeling for a product or item of another company. This is the second code or barcode for a product or item that exists in your inventory given by manufacturer or supplier. This is different from your barcode information and is useful to track products or items coming from another brand. If you track your suppliers items only with your barcode system, this can cause some problems if you have business relations with many different companies. You cannot separate if you have more than one supplier for any of your items.

If you have minor code support within your software, Company A can give you order with its own barcode like PASTA-001 and Company B can give you an order with its own barcode PASTA-ABC and you can track all of them as PASTA888 your own barcode. Nothing confuses because you will know which company has which barcode label. This is very useful when you do an agreement for orders and payments.
